ok so i screenshotted this moment because i thought it was pretty cool

the first time we get to see all four elements working together for a common enemy, blah blah blah, but i started laughing because

sokka’s fucking boomerang. sokka threw a fucking boomerang at princess azula, renowned lightning bender and heir-apparent to the throne of the fire nation.

and sokka threw a boomerang at her.

I NEVER NOTICDD THIS OMG

I have seen this series in its entirety more times than I can count and I never fucking noticed he threw the boomerang

this is so fuckin fjuny that you noticed this now because a little over a week ago i made this parallel between this scene and one in korra and fucking bumi does the SAME exact thing except he just throwS a ROCK he throws a fucKing ROcK at a DARK SPIRIT

a show is only as good as its filler episodes

and avatar: the last airbender was on a whole other level

this was what a filler episode SHOULD be, it may not have furthered the plot, but it did highlight the characters and deepen our understanding of them

You know all the Avatars show themselves as pretty young people and then Roku is like “I’M STAYING IN THE OLD GEEZER FORM OF MY FINAL MOMENTS. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY YEARS IT TOOK ME TO GROW THIS RAD WIZARD BEARD??? I AM KEEPING THIS”

So I noticed that there were a few people that liked seeing Zuko in Water Tribe clothes in my Zuko and Druk thing (thanks for all the likes and reblogs, and nice tags and comments, by the way! Like wow). Then I felt kinda bad because I spent approximately 0.2 seconds coming up with his outfit, so I thought I would give it another shot. (with some really sketchy doodles on the side)

Note taken

Is that a fucking bear??? I never really believed bears could run fast. Jesus Christmas.

Holy shit, its like terminator bear

Fun fact, a sprinting bear can run as fast as a galloping horse. Now if they replaced all the horses in the Kentucky Derby with bears, things would get a lot more interesting.

#BEST SCENE

EVER

the fall of azula is one of the best written story arcs in cartoon history and i will stand by this comment forever

you know another thing i really love about this scene? despite knowing their martial art and acrobatic prowess, azula still underestimated and looked down on mai and ty lee. the audience knows mai has the precision to cut and kill—and she was ready to do it. but ty lee chose to disarm and temporarily paralyze azula with the one tool she always has at her disposal (firebending) with two unsuspectingly swift hits. those skillsets are terrifying. people kept saying they (nonbenders) were mediocre compared to benders but atla made sure non-benders could be just as much of a threat as any bender.
