Remember Gingerhaze’s Party King Thranduil and Party Elk? My sister Cindy and I dressed up as them for the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug premiere! And we met many lovely elves, hobbits, a Radagast, and even a Smaug while waiting for it to start! We both made our costumes by ourselves and Cindy will talk about her construction process on http://cationdesigns.blogspot.com/ as usual. My elk head was paper mache, cardboard, wire hangers, glow sticks, googly eyes, and battery powered LED lights. Much fun was had. My king passed out drunk. Also one of the dwarves looked like Nimona.

If only there had been a Legolas that we could take to school and embarass…
